October is Canadian Library Month! It’s a time when we raise awareness about the valuable role of libraries and celebrate the contributions of CUPE library workers. This year we’re honouring the critical role of CUPE library workers as literacy leaders.
National AccessAbility Week takes place every year starting on the last Sunday of May. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of persons with disabilities in Canada and to promote efforts to increase accessibility and inclusion in our communities and workplaces.
To mark International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, CUPE renews its commitment to fighting for the safety of 2SLGBTQI+ persons at work and in our communities.

May is Jewish Heritage Month.
Jewish Heritage Month was officially recognized by the federal government in March 2018 after a unanimous vote in the House of Commons.
During Asian Heritage Month, CUPE recognizes and celebrates the contributions that members of Asian communities have made to Canada, and to our union.
