Watch yesterday’s virtual town hall about how more students are being safely brought into B.C. classrooms this June as part of our province’s restart plan. should be checking their District issued email for up to date information in the coming days.

 

Also check the School District website for any new releases to the community.

At this point everyone in a Continuing or Term position will be returning to their work sites on March 30th.  What that looks like remains to be determined but rest assured it will be with pay.

Regarding Casual Staff we are still waiting on information in that regard but will update when we can.

Keep in mind that changes are constantly happening and we will update this website when we have any new information to share.

Christmas at Williams Park

Come volunteer while sharing in the magic of Christmas.

This event runs from November 30th- December 22nd.

They are currently seeking volunteers for the following jobs:

  • hand out candy canes
  • takedown of event

An Opportunity from BC Federation of Labour

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The holiday season is quickly coming upon us and the BC Fed has invited us to be a part of creating a happy holiday for many local families.  Please see their invitation, and who to contact, below.

The Gift of Service

24th Annual Labour Community Christmas dinner

The BC Federation of Labour is asking for your help!  

They need the following:
– unwrapped toys and teenager gifts
– non-perishable foods
– gift cards and passes
– new and gently used, washed clothing for men, women and children (jackets, hats, socks, gloves)

Volunteers are also needed in Vancouver at the Maritime Labour Centre (1880 Triumph Street) on:
December 21st – unloading trucks with food and toys at 10:00 a.m.
December 22nd – filling hampers, setting up the hall, and sorting clothes at 10:00 a.m.
December 23rd – filling hampers, sorting toys and clothes at 10:00 a.m.
December 24th – loading the moving truck at 9:00 a.m., then volunteer for dinner at 4:00 p.m.

Volunteers needed in Surrey at the Whalley Legion (13525 106 Avenue) on:
December 24th – volunteer at the dinner starting at 3:30 p.m.
